Court Services

The Civil/Warrant/Bailiff Unit of the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office bear the responsibility of serving and executing all legal process generated by the court system. Some of the daily operations of this unit include serving summons, subpoenas, injunctions, evictions and tracking down and arresting wanted subjects on warrants. These documents must be served in a manner and will in many cases require response from the individual(s) being served. This unit processes and serves an average of 3,800 pieces of process per year. The unit also maintains all court proceedings, including high risk trials and large trials.

The Civil/Warrant/Bailiff Unit are staffed by one sergeant and three uniform deputies. The civilian supervisor oversees the civil clerk.

The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office does not release any information on outstanding warrants over the telephone.
